Janumet 50mg/1000mg is a prescription medication used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It is a combination of two active ingredients: sitagliptin and metformin hydrochloride. Sitagliptin belongs to a class of drugs called dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors, which work by increasing the levels of incretin hormones.
