Description
Hervycta Plus 440mg Injection is a targeted therapy used in the treatment of certain types of cancer. Its active ingredient, Trastuzumab, is a monoclonal antibody that specifically targets the HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) protein. Many cancer cells, particularly in breast and gastric cancers, overexpress HER2, which promotes their growth and survival. Hervycta Plus works by binding to these HER2-positive cancer cells, blocking the signals that stimulate their growth and marking them for destruction by the body’s immune system. It is indicated for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer (both early-stage and metastatic) and HER2-positive metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma. The dosage and duration of treatment are determined by a healthcare professional based on the specific cancer type, stage, and individual patient response. Common side effects may include infusion-related reactions (fever, chills, rash), fatigue, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Less commonly, it can affect heart function. Storage instructions should be followed as per the manufacturer’s guidelines, typically involving refrigeration.
