Its active ingredient is Goserelin, a synthetic analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). Goserelin works by initially stimulating the pituitary gland, which leads to a surge in luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). However, with continuous administration, it suppresses the release of LH and FSH, thereby reducing the production of sex hormones like estrogen in women and testosterone in men. This hormonal suppression is crucial in treating hormone-dependent cancers where tumor growth is fueled by these hormones.
Indications for Bdsure 3.75mg Injection include advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women, endometriosis, uterine fibroids, and prostate cancer. Common side effects may include hot flashes, decreased libido, vaginal dryness, mood changes, and injection site reactions.
